Personalised Gift - ZIA Frame

Hi Friends,

Its been 2 months that we have posted anything & I am so happy that we are making a comeback with this one as this is a very special one. My brother & sister-in-law celebrated their 15th anniversary on 17th April. So I decided to make a personalised ZIA with their names on it. I started with tracing their names "Shrikant" & "Mini" on paper using a stencil. After tracing their names, I decided to colour them using "Sakura Watercolour Pens". It was my first time using these pens and it was such a delight to use them.

Once their names were coloured, to make it complete, I added names of my two adorable nieces "Aarana" aged 5 years and "Aadya" aged 2.5 years above and below their names. Also, when making this ZIA, I had decided that I would divide my entire drawing space in a grid pattern and tangle within the grid so that the tangles look like they have been stacked above each other.  And it was such a cool incident that recently this week a new facebook group titled "Zentangle: Stacked and Tangled" & I felt so happy that my thoughts were in line with the new trend of stacking :)

Almost when I was about to finish the project, I decided to insert a "Happy Anniversary" wish for them in the ZIA :)

Though after making I realised I should have used lighter, string style tangles in some sections specially, eg, I shouldn't have used Knightsbridge & Nipa around the alphabets, I am still very happy with the end product.

My brother, sister-in-law and the little angels loved the gift and this framed ZIA now adorns the wall of their room.

Hope you all like our work.

Happy Valentine's Day - Valentangle

Hi friends,

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone. :) :)

With all our love, both of us (Roshni & Neha) have made several Tanglicious Gifts for our respective husbands. These are also our entry to I am The Diva Challenge #204 .

Lets start with some beating heart by Roshni :)

Even though thats how heart looks like, Roshni thought she better tangle some beautiful hearts too :) :)

We women are very romantic and love to boldly express our love for our better half. So we had developed some beautiful "Templates for Love & I Love You". So here are Neha's version of Tangled Love & I Love You.

If you like our templates, you can find the links to download them here.

Neha has also done 2 more tangles for her husband, one with their names and another one with their initials.

We hope you like our work as much as our husband's loved them :)

A special note: We are posting almost after week but that doesnt mean we have gone off our mission 365, its just that its got difficult to post every day. So we have decided to post once or twice every week.

To be or not to be ... Calm

To be Calm.. easier said than done J

Well I have always been told to never be in a hurry and do everything in a calm spirit. Do not lose your calm for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.

Remain calm, always in control of yourself and you will then find out how easy to work things out

Here is a ZIA to remind all of us to be in a place of calm, a place where we can handle the chaos of life better.

Uncorked for That's New To Me

This week's That's New to Me Week #4 Challenge was to learn a new tangle using letter "U". I decided to learn the tangle Uncorked by CZT Adele Bruno. Uncorked is a fun tangle that would look great for use in a floral pattern or butterly.

Here is our entry for the challenge

Tangled Hand - Joey's Weekly Challenge #46

Hi guys,

This week's Joey's Weekly Challenge #45 was so much fun. Roshni was mentioning just last week that she wants to tangle her hand and here in the mail comes Joey's Challenge "try your hand at tangling". Roshni was so excited and happy with the challenge, she tangled her hand not once but twice and both the times, she has created some great effects true to her self.

The first time she tangled her hand, she was wearing a full sleeves dress, so she tangled her hand like wise. Next time, she was wearing a bangle and thus the bangle. Also, she has made sure to include her wedding ring in her tangles.

Hope you love Tangled Hands By Roshni.

Falling Hearts - It's a string thing #77

Last week of January is here. What a fun month it has been so far with all the Zentangle challenges. So the first Zentangle dare of this week that we are participating is the "It's a String Thing #77".

The challenge was to use tangle pattern string 77 and tangles Heartrope, Heartstrings, Heartvine and
Luv-a.

The special thing about this challenge was that all tangles were renditions of heart. I call it falling hearts and the thought behind doing this was to shower love on one and all who see this and thus, falling hearts.

Here is our entry to the challenge

Joey's Weekly Challenge #44

It's Joey's son's 10th birthday this week and so she choose tangle string 10 and tangle pattern Joy for this week's challenge.

So instead of tangling a simple tile, we decided to convert our tangle into a cake for the birthday boy.

Here's wishing all the Joy & Happiness to the birthday boy from Tanglicious Connections.

Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day Challenge 2015

Hi friends,

We are finally participating in "I Am The Diva Weekly Challenge." This week is the #201 weekly challenge.

Moebius syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that is present at birth. It primarily affects the 6th and 7th cranial nerves, leaving those with the condition unable to move their faces (they can’t smile, frown, suck, grimace or blink their eyes) and unable to move their eyes laterally. 24th January is celebrated as Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day Challenge and this week's I Am The Diva Challenge was to use the Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo as a string for tangling and incorporate purple as thats the colour of Moebius Syndrome.

Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo

This challenge was something different from other Zentangle challenges that we have participated till now as it's about raising awareness about a rare medical disorder. We (Roshni & Dr. Neha) decided to do something different about this challenge:

1. Tangle tiles with using Moebius Syndrome Foundation Logo
2. Make bookmarks & Badges about Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day

Our tiles

Our Bookmarks

We 1st printed 2 different outlines for our book marks 1. For the front which only has the logo and empty space to tangle 2. For the back which has information of Moebius syndrome along with the logo

We then tangled on the book marks. We made a total of 8 bookmarks: 4 with purple background & 4 with white background. Here is the scanned images of front of all our bookmarks

 The Front of Purple Bookmarks

 The Front of White Bookmarks

We also tangled in the logos at the back in purple.

Here are pics of the final outcome of the bookmarks

Our Badges

We 1st printed 2 different outlines for our badges 1. For the front which only has the logo and empty space to tangle 2. For the back which has "Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day & 24 Jan" Printed

We then tangled on the front and coloured the logo on back in solid purple. We made a total of 4 badges. Here is the scanned images of all our 4 badges

Here are the pics of the final outcome of badges

We are trying to connect with some Moebius Syndrome patients in India (as its difficult for us to send them abroad) with whom we can share these bookmarks & badges to help them spread awareness around them. If someone reading this blog knows of Moebius Syndrome patient in India please connect with us.

Keep tangling & connecting with us.

Zendala Personal Challenge - 2 & Thats New To Me Challenge - Week 3

Hi friends,

As I embarked upon doing at least 1 Zendala pattern every 15 days, I have once again combined my personal Zendala challenge with the "That's New To Me" challenge by Suzzane Moshier. This is Week 3 of the challenge and the random alphabet was "V". I decided to learn Vache-1 & Vache-2 by Canadian CZT® Geneviève Crabe for this challenge.

For the Zendala, I used the Bright Owl Zendala Dare 4 template. It was fun combining my persoanl challenge once again with "That's New To Me" Challenge.
